Ordinary Spot, Extraordinary Shot

I was challenged to find an ordinary spot and to find a way to get an extraordinary shot. This was such a fun challenge! I automatically started thinking of places I normally go to take photos, but then I realized that totally defeats the purpose!

So one chilly Fall afternoon I walked out my front door and decided to spend some time with what was left of my mom’s beautiful summer flowers. Most of them were pretty sad looking, but I found a few that were still hanging on. I also decided to play around with my close-up macro filters as well.

Here is a picture of what my mom’s garden looked like the day I took these pictures.

After taking pictures outside I decided I wanted to try this inside as well. As you can see, I simply put my boots on a white poster board on an art desk in my basement next to a window.

This was such a fun exercise with exciting and surprising results! Check out what Natalie Demi Perez was able to capture in an ordinary spot!
